Medical school is hard. But so is maintaining a relationship. But some medical students are balancing the demands of both—navigating their way through lessons, exams, clinicals and romance. She and her boyfriend have been together for over three years. The couple, she says, remains mindful of that truth, but prioritizes making the most of their limited time together. Although medical school forges a bond of commonality where relationships are often a natural outgrowth, some medical students prefer not to date within their class.
Dating in Med School: Should You Do It?
We always knew, to some extent, that doctors and nurses do something very similar to firemen, in that they walk into the situation from which everyone else is trying to escape. Nobody hopes to wind up in the hospital. Their loved ones who support them. Their family and friends and romantic partners who give them the strength to keep going. You can see it and taste it. But now, you have to wait.
They met while attending different medical schools in California and dating her significant other three years before beginning med school.

Why medical school should start at age 28
The numbers of classes and students to allow for student-oriented small group studies required for successful education were taken into account when determining the number of students. We aim to train scientists that are sensitive to public health, that are able to grasp international knowledge and that are capable of implementing the current practices in medicine in the best way possible, and medical doctors that respect ethical values.
To achieve our aim, we offer education with faculty members experienced in their fields, and at classes and laboratories equipped with current modern education technologies. Our School has provided the required infrastructure for practice sessions as an important component of horizontal-vertical, spiral integration to take place at Medicana International Ankara Hospital with which it is affiliated, and with the supervision of faculty members.
Making an application to study medicine can be daunting. The UCAS website has a list of all medical degrees available in the UK, along with the most up-to-date information and you will learn more about the medical schools themselves.
The following is my personal opinion ; this is what I think and what has worked for me, and I hope anyone who has any thoughts will comment so we can start a discussion and maybe inspire others. My mom was the one who really hammered this home for me. Why not be both? The purpose of this post is really to encourage people not to close themselves off from love for the sake of school or studies, regardless of the discipline.
Personally the companionship that we have been able to give to each other has been a hugely important part of our lives as we have moved into adult life and med school together! Obviously there are times where you may feel like you may want to take the stress out on each other, you always hurt the ones closest to you. It may sound crazy but we are messaging all throughout the day, it keeps us connected even if we are too busy to actually spend time together.
As our lives are study study study then we make a real effort to study together, either at home, the library or out in cafes. It means we can spend time together and not sacrifice our grades. This year we aim to schedule more time for leisure activities together such as weekends away, cycling and trips out not medicine related. There is always room for improvement from both sides to make life happier and healthier for both of us!

Getting married at medical school is a big step to take. Some of you may have done it already, perhaps considered it, or maybe put it off as impractical. Here we look at some of the issues involved, from four different CMF members who have been there, done that, and got the wedding ring! The Bible is clear when it comes to marriage — it is created by God and is a natural state for his people.
It can be a great blessing and stabilising factor in our otherwise busy and turbulent medical lives. However, it is not to be taken lightly. Marriage is binding and lifelong in God’s eyes. If you are considering marriage, take time alone with God to look deeply into your motives — is it because you fear being alone, feel incomplete as a person or need to fit in within the Christian community? If any of these things could be a motive, pause and take stock.
If you do marry, it is important that the timing is correct. It should not be hastened into, but neither should it be delayed if you are both ready and it is what God has planned for you. Consequently, you may need to give serious thought to getting married as a student. There is a lot of literature available that deals with general issues around marriage.

And there are a whole lot of other people who are in dating relationships. These statistics could be an abnormality unique to my class, but I know there are many students in the other classes here at USCSOMG who are dating, engaged, or married, too.
There may be days or weeks that are harder to do that than others for example, test week is almost never a good time for a date , but there are plenty of good times to have fun outside of school if you plan it right for example, post-test weekends are the best time for dating. Wedding planning uses those same skills. Personally, I like to use my wedding planning time as a reward for getting through scheduled study time for the day. However, a lower setting for your ring might be easier for those times when you quickly pull on exam gloves to palpate skin or touch a rash.
